The following pictures were uploaded by Carol on September 23, 2007. She said she has others to send, and will do so. She's been doing pretty well, and is gradually getting better in the spoken language. Not fluent, but better. As for written, well ...

She's doing some traveling. Among the pictures below are some from Ayutthaya, which was founded around A.D.1350 by a Prince of U-Thong. It was one of the richest cities in Asia by the 1600s, exporting rice, animal skins, ivory, etc. In 1767 the city was completely burned during a war. They stopped to visit on the way from Bangkok to Khon Kaen. Carol is also going to Cambodia with her host mother; we'll let you know her thoughts when she gets back.
